UFC 220 fight card — Miocic vs. Ngannou: Predictions, odds, lines, prelims

Getting big is relevant again in combating. Throughout the last year or so, both boxing and MMA have seen a bit of a rebirth from the heavyweight divisions with Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Stipe Miocic rising through the ranks as the best in the world. And with top winners brings a few of the best opponents, and on Saturday night in Boston, Miocic is going to be the first to reply a really tough test.
The current UFC heavyweight champion is set to take on perhaps the scariest puncher in MMA when he squares off against Francis Ngannou in the main event at TD Garden. Ngannou (11-1, 7 KOs) has won five of his fights since joining the organization and all coming via KO/TKO with none getting past the second round. His brutal knockout of high contender Alistair Overeem at UFC 218 might have been the most vicious knockout of the year.
However, Miocic remains his calm and collected self ahead of his newest challenge. Miocic (17-2, 13 KOs) can also be on a five-fight knockout streak and stays just one win short of being the longest reigning heavyweight champion in company history.
“I am so utilized to it now,” Miocic said during his receptive work on Wednesday. “I love being the underdog since I shut up everyone. That is exactly what this sport’s all about — it is like’The Jerry Springer Show’… I am walking ‘and still.’ No one (else) will be champion till I leave.
